Action Group For Beaches Estate

We are just a group of people working silently in the background and have achieved success in helping the residents of Beaches Estate to improve the infrustructure and facilitate in the aquiring shops and a play ground for our children.

Talks with Rose Group

Face to face discussions have been encouraging with Rose Group, and more talks will be held shortly.

Talks with National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS)

A meeting was held on site (10/02/2022) with NPWS decision makers regarding the inadequate build of the walkway to Moonee Beach.

At the time NPWS delegates agreed that the walkway was in need of several adjustments. They also agreed that the middle track would have been the preferred site for the walkway which would have included access for emergency vehicles.

They undertook to look into work to be carried out to resolve the problems.

It is interesting to know that when the survey was taken in regards to the inadequate build of the walkway to Moonee Beach, all your responses were put forward to NPWS, on site and were taken seriously.

A letter was received recently from NPWS stating that changes would be made, such as widening the walkway and instaling passing bays as well.

Furthermore, the middle track would also be upgraded to allow emergency vehicular access. This would also mean that this track can be used by foot traffic as well.

Lake Macquarie City Council (LMCC)

Another item of concern was the unsafe water retention pond or the duck pond.

It has been put forward to LMCC how unclean this pond is and its infestation of mosquitoes is very unhealthy.
