Lest We Forget

A place to remember those who have passed on

Your Condolences

This is a place where we can remember the friends who we have lost over the years.

In 1970, we as 15 year olds joined the Navy, from all over Australia young boys travelled by train, plane, bus and even walked to HMAS Leeuwin in Freemantle, Western Australia.

We became the 32nd Intake at HMAS Leeuwin's, Junior Recuit Training Establishment (JRTE), and was known as Collins and Walton Divisions.

For twelve months we learnt academic and seamanship studies to prepare us for Navy life at sea, in that time we all became family and we are still family to this day.

Many of us went on to have successful naval careers, while others left the navy and became successful because of their time in the navy.

We have had reunions over the years, which is great to catch up with old mates, but as time goes by, our numbers have dwindled, even though they are no longer with us, they are not and will not be forgotten.
